Matthew Cobain is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Newcastle University. His background is in quantifying the dynamics in fish community structure and function from large fisheries datasets and biogeochemical tracers. His role in Coldfish is to investigate the spatial variability in the niche traits of key fish species and the extent of bentho-pelagic coupling in the Barents Sea using stable isotopes as part of Work Package 1 and Work Package 2.
