Pacific water inflows through the Bering Strait, which is the only water way connecting Pacific Ocean and Arctic Ocean. It is expected to have a significant influence on the Arctic sea ice and then regulate the global climate. However, the mechanism of thermodynamics and dynamics is still unclear. Pacific water pathways, stratification and upwelling events would be considered to address the problem.
The key question is to prove that there are certain ways for Pacific water to have effects on Arctic sea ice.
