Tim Brand

I am a senior support scientist at SAMS and primarily responsible for all water column inorganic chemistry and radio-chemistry analyses.

My main areas of expertise are water column nutrient biogeochemistry and the use of naturally occurring uranium series radionuclides to determine particulate flux and mass accumulation rates.

At SAMS, I manage the Analytical Laboratory, which houses the bulk of the institute’s chemical analytical facilities, and also the Radionuclide Counting Facilities Laboratory.

I am a technician on the Arctic PRIZE project.
