Dr Claudia Castellani

Co-Investigator, Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML)

Dr Claudia Castellani is a zooplankton eco-physiologist.

Her research focuses on the mechanisms determining marine zooplankton species geographic range, temporal changes in abundance and productivity through the combined study of morphology, ecology, behaviour, physiology, molecular expression and genetic diversity.

Some of her recent work investigates the capacity of rapid adaptation by zooplankton to climate change.

Claudia is a co-investigator on the ARISE and DIAPOD projects.
