Alice is a PhD student in the ARISE project, at the University of Liverpool, researching how ringed seal populations in the Canadian Arctic are responding to environmental change. She is using a novel biomarker approach in combination with long term satellite telemetry datasets to characterise the foraging behaviour and ecology of ringed seals exposed to different environmental pressures and investigate how this is manifested in their health and body condition.
