Dr David McKee

Co-investigator, University of Strathclyde

David McKee is a physicist with 20 years experience in marine optics, and a co-investigator in the Arctic PRIZE project.

He specializes in measurements of in situ radiometry & inherent optical properties (IOPs) in optically complex shelf seas.

During two NERC Fellowships he developed a radiative transfer approach to interpretation of ocean colour data that is based upon quantitative measurements of IOPs & associated biogeochemistry.

He has a wide range of interests spanning ocean colour remote sensing and associated algorithm development, quantitative IOP measurements & variable relationships with biogeochemical proxies, multiple scattering and radiative transfer theory.
