Dr Rachel Jeffreys

Co-investigator, University of Liverpool

Rachel Jeffreys is a marine biologist based at the University of Liverpool, who is interested in understanding the processes that shape marine food webs.

Rachel uses a variety of tools to do this including stable isotopes and biomarkers (e.g. amino acids and lipids). She is particularly interested in the role of particulate organic matter (POM) in regulating marine for webs and her most recent worked focused on the effect of climate-induced shifts in food web dynamics at the Porcupine abyssal plain (N. Atlantic).

Rachel is a co-investigator in the ARISE project.
