Christian Haas is a professor for sea ice geophysics at the University of Bremen and Head of the Sea Ice Section at the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research (AWI) in Bremerhaven, Germany.
His main research interest is the role of Arctic and Antarctic sea ice in the climate, eco-, and human systems.
In the Diatom-ARCTIC project, he will contribute to gathering the key in situ data required for development and validation of biogeochemical models.
